Privacy Policy

Haus of Moments ("Haus of Moments," "HOM," "we," "us") is a Greater Toronto Area social-wellbeing and events brand. We care about your privacy and keep things simple. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit hausofmoments.ca, join our list, contact us, or book a gathering — and how we use and protect it.

The information we collect

What you give us. Your email address when you join our list; your name, email and message when you use our contact, host-with-us, or "suggest a moment" forms; and the details you provide when you reserve a gathering.
Payment information. Bookings are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. To take payment and calculate tax, Stripe collects your name, email, card details and billing address.
Technical information. Like most websites, our host may log basic data such as your IP address and browser type for security and operation. We also store your day/night theme preference in your browser — that isn't personal information.

How we use it

To send you the occasional email about upcoming gatherings — only if you've opted in, with an unsubscribe link in every message.
To respond to your inquiries, host requests and ideas.
To process and confirm your bookings and payments.
To run, secure and improve our website.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the trusted service providers that help us operate, each handling your data under their own privacy and security terms:

Stripe — payment processing.
Supabase — the secure database that stores your subscription and contact details.
Netlify — website hosting.
An email service provider, if and when we add one, to send our list emails.

Photography & media at our gatherings

Our gatherings are often photographed or filmed, and we may use these images and videos to share the Haus of Moments story — on our website, social media and marketing materials. By attending, you consent to being photographed or filmed and to our use of that content. If you'd rather not appear, simply let a host know at the event or email us beforehand, and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

Cookies & tracking

We currently do not use advertising or analytics cookies. The only thing we store on your device is your day/night theme preference. If we add analytics or social-media pixels in future, we'll update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.

Your choices & rights

You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any message, or by emailing us. Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you may also ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you — just reach out and we'll take care of it.

We only email you with your consent (in line with Canada's anti-spam legislation, CASL), and every message includes an easy way to opt out.

Keeping & protecting your information

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires, then delete it. We work with reputable providers (Stripe, Supabase, Netlify) and take reasonable measures to protect your information — though no method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure.

Children

Our gatherings and website are intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" date above reflects the latest version, and any material changes will be posted here.
